Due to the epidemic, India's textile orders are gradually shifting to China
India is the world's largest cotton producer, the world's largest jute producer and the world's second-largest silk producer, with 22 per cent of the world's yarn capacity. The textile sector accounts for about 15 per cent of India's export revenues.Since the second half of 2020, the epidemic in India has been gradually heating up. Due to the epidemic, many large export-oriented textile enterprises cannot guarantee normal delivery. In order to ensure that the supply will not be affected, European and American retailers have transferred many orders originally produced in India to China for production. For example, orders from India to China for products such as towels and bed sheets are large, and at the end of 2020, some manufacturers have indicated that the number of transfer orders received will be lined up until the second quarter of 2021.
